fund a public Data utility for the people by the people
SmartOakland requires ongoing financial support to pay staff, acquire data, develop data insight boards, hold meetings in office space, conduct requirements gathering workshops with community members, perform educational outreach, create and deliver Public Service Announcement, market data services, and develop more ways to deliver our Public Data Utility insight to everyone who needs and wants it. We are working to create a resilience baseline built on data that brings all Oaklanders into the same level of understanding and access to high-value data, technology, and innovative solutions to city challenges. You can make a general donation to a Zip Code, sponsor specific Zip Code work, and request new data be offered on the utility. The dots on these maps represent multi-unit housing. Blue are units built before 1978 and gray are built after 1978.
